Affiliations

National Affiliations

The Baltimore Ethical Society is a member of the American Ethical Union, a federation of Ethical Culture Societies committed to creating a more humane society. This membership includes strong ties with the National Ethical Service, which represents Ethical Culture at the United Nations and has contributed to initiatives such as the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

We are also affiliated with Humanist advocacy and volunteer groups including the American Humanist Association, the Foundation Beyond Belief, and the International Humanist and Ethical Union.

Local Affiliations

Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD), which is a non-partisan, interfaith, multiracial community power organization rooted in Baltimore’s neighborhoods and congregations.

Baltimore Coalition of Reason, which brings together humanistic, secular, and nontheistic organizations in the Greater Baltimore region.

Out for Justice, which is an ex-offender led organization that focuses on reforming policies that adversely affect the ex-offender re-entering the community.

LGBTQ Humanist Council of Baltimore, which works to build community among LGBTQ humanists in the region.

Frederick Douglas Humanist Society of Baltimore, which seeks to advance humanistic values that emphasize reason, critical thought, free inquiry, human dignity,welfare and freedom.
