This lecture proposes we distance ourselves from focusing on the “goods” and the “bads” associated with weight related issues, directing our attention, instead, to those of self-respect, body compassion and size acceptance, as we learn how to honor the diversity in each and every person and how to make peace with food.
Mary Beth Sodus is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Mindful Eating Counselor and Certified Personal Trainer, working at UMMS Mid-town. Mary Beth uses her skills in medical nutrition therapy and movement to help people improve their relationship with food and their bodies so they can show up for what matters most in their life. She has an ongoing interest in expanding health-span via the Mediterranian diet and the newest lifestyle research. She focuses on intuitive eating and weight-inclusive wellness.
