Tour of Frederick Douglass Mansion

The Frederick Douglass Humanist Society (FDHS) is organizing a tour of Frederick Douglass’ residential mansion “Cedar Hill” in Washington DC in honor of the internationally renowned slavery abolitionist and human rights leader. The visit to Cedar Hill will be an occasion to honor the legacy of a man who was born in American slavery, escaped, and dedicated the remainder of his life working toward Humanist ideals of justice and equality for all people at great personal risk. He has been a source of inspiration, and also an ever present challenge, demanding that American citizens live up to their highest ideals and make the United States a land of liberty and equality for all. Contact Khandra Sears or Aaron Bishop to RSVP.
