“The Game of Go”

Humans have played the game of go (also known as weiqi, igo, and baduk) for over two thousand years.  Though its rules are simple, its strategy is deep and subtle.  In this talk, Tevis Tsai, BES Vice President, will discuss the two-thousand year history of the game, the humans that play it, and the computer that usurped a world champion.  He’ll also have boards available for those who’d like to try playing the game themselves.
