The Creation Museum’s Ark Encounter theme park is now scheduled to open this June in Kentucky. How does this effort to present the Noah’s Ark story as working in the real world actually expose fatal flaws in the biblical account? And how did Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species present evidence that exposed creation and the Ark story as hopeless explanations for the animals alive today? Come learn how evolutionary biology and other scientific fields utterly sink this creationist boat!

Fred Edwords has a long history in organized humanism. For 15 years he was executive director of the American Humanist Association, for 12 years editor of the Humanist magazine, and for six years national director of the United Coalition of Reason. He is past president of Camp Quest, a summer camp for freethinking children, and has served on the board of the International Humanist and Ethical Union and the founding board of the National Center for Science Education. As a continuing voice for humanist ideas, he has, over the past forty years, appeared on national and local radio and television in the United States and Canada, been interviewed on radio and for newspapers around the world, and has lectured in North America, Europe, and India.

Today he is director of planned giving for the Humanist Foundation of the American Humanist Association and would be pleased to help you provide a future for your humanist values in your will or other estate plan. He also serves on the adjunct faculty of the Humanist Institute, is the American Humanist Association’s historian, and sits on the Broader Social Impacts Committee of the Hall of Human Origins at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC.
