The Baltimore Ethical Society is operated cooperatively by members who are concerned with raising the quality of human relations and who give of their time and funds according to their ability and willingness to contribute. Programs are supported without endowment and depend on the annual pledges and participation of members.
We encourage anyone interested in membership to attend several Sunday meetings and one committee meeting. Doing so provides the best opportunity for learning about the Baltimore Ethical Society (BES) programs, activities and members. We then ask that you attend a Newcomers Meeting which is generally held on the last Sunday of every month. This meeting will give you a brief history of the Ethical Culture Movement, provide you with information about membership, and give you an opportunity to ask questions about the Society.
